Intelligent Movement Individual Sessions
We use the term Intelligent Movement when referring to our unique style of neuromuscular re-education and training that supports whole body function and is based in the science of movement. It is used effectively in rehabilitation and fitness, with our physical therapists and instructors using appropriate application of movement and modifications to meet the specific needs of each client safely and effectively.
Intelligent Movement blends a variety of concepts that include Polestar Education’s Pilates Principles, neuromuscular rehabilitation techniques, functional re-education theories, current evidenced-based scientific research findings, cardiovascular and resistance training methods, integrative medicine approaches, and an array of movement modalities that include: Pilates, GYROTONIC®, Core Align, GYROKINESIS®, Yoga, TRX, Kettlebell, and more.
The goal of Intelligent Movement is to obtain a balanced body system that promotes full physical functionality with minimal effort. It is beneficial for people seeking greater well-being, balanced fitness, or optimal athletic performance.
Intelligent Movement is most effective through individual training sessions where your instructor can direct the organization of movements to meet your particular needs and reach improved outcomes more quickly. Your instructor will provide assistive tactile and verbal cues determined by observation of successful movement acquisition during each session.
Individual sessions include an initial postural assessment and movement evaluation, with on-going progressive movement instruction to facilitate change in your body. It is recommended that you participate in Intelligent Movement practice at least two or more times per week to experience maximum results. At Pinnacle Performance we offer a variety of opportunities to practice Intelligent Movement with increased frequency affordably by participating in group sessions, the open lunge program, or home exercise prescription that will complement your individual training sessions.
Our movement instructors will work closely with your physician, physical therapist, chiropractor, midwife, or massage therapist before, during, and after rehabilitation.
