TRX and Suspension Training

The TRX® Suspension Trainer evolved from a need by founder, Randy Hetrick, to keep himself and his Navy SEAL teammates in peak condition during missions where they had no access to fitness equipment and had very limited training space. It started as a few lengths of parachute webbing hand-stitched together with rubber boat repair tools. Hetrick and his team rapidly developed a growing array of bodyweight exercises specifically designed for this unique training harness. They had laid the foundations upon which an entirely new and original approach to functional exercise would emerge: Suspension Training.

Suspension Training workouts give participants an edge over a pure protocol of conventional strength training. Every Suspension Training exercise builds true functional strength and improves flexibility, balance and core stability all at once, as is required on the playing fields of sport and in life. The TRX® suspension Trainer is a versatile and effective training tool that is applicable to all ages, gender and fitness level. Pinnacle Performance is excited to embrace this form of functional training for use with rehabilitation clients, elite and recreational athletes, and in our sport-specific and functional training classes. By incorporating this innovative, bodyweight-based training in to our programs, we can apply our advanced neuromuscular training theories while continuing to focus on the human body as an integrated system. The outcome and desire is to assist our clients to build power and endurance in a safe, efficient and effective manner for performance and function.
