Sports-Specific Progressive Training Programs
12-week Cycling Conditioning Series – Coming Back to Pinnacle January 2019
This class is intended to assist the cycling athlete in the acquisition of efficient movement patterns and positions specific to cycling. We will explore healthy pelvis/spine position, efficient use of fascial/muscular systems, and weight-bearing position of the upper extremities to increase power output through the lower extremities. The class will also address alignment of the lower extremities and symmetry to prevent injury and encourage healthy repetitive joint motion. We will utilize the Reformer/Tower, Core Align, Oov, TRX, and various assistive apparatus to facilitate the acquisition of efficient movement with immediate application to cycling. Cost is $600 for the 12-week series or $50 drop-in price, held on Mondays at 6:20pm.
12-week Ski Program – Class in Session
The ski-specific training program is a 12-week progressive program utilizing Intelligent Movement with immediate application to Ski-Specific Functional Training. Each session is prepared in a progressive manner utilizing the reformer/tower systems, TRX Suspension and RIP systems, slideboards, Reebok steppers, spine correctors, rotating discs, resistance bands, BOSU, and other equipment. The movement sessions consist of biomechanical training to facilitate the body’s ability to obtain positions necessary for skiing, and then incorporate functional training and circuit training to encourage increased endurance and power necessary for a full day of skiing.
For the 2018 program, the cost is $600 and includes 12-1 hour, 45-minute sessions, and 3, 30 minute home program instructions.
8-week Rock Climber Conditioning Series – Class Not Currently Scheduled
This class is intended to assist the climbing athlete in the acquisition of efficient movement patterns specific to climbing. We will concentrate on healthy biomechanics, efficient use of fascial/muscular systems, and the integration of assistive neuroscience concepts to create power, flexibility, and endurance necessary to perform at a high level and prevent injury. The class will utilize the Reformer/Tower, Core Align, Oov, TRX, and various assistive apparatus to facilitate the acquisition of efficient movement with immediate application to climbing. Cost is $200.
